The Loudoun County Democratic Board of Supervisors and Democratic candidates recently announced a unity campaign platform, with the mission of uniting Virginia women in support of women in the Democratic Party and their candidates, promoting full and equal participation of women in the Party, encouraging, educating and funding Democratic women who aspire to public office, and raising awareness about women's issues in the Commonwealth and the Democratic Party of Virginia. The Democratic Party also recognizes the need for structural judicial reforms to increase transparency and accountability. The Virginia Democratic Party Veterans and Military Family Caucus has the mission of informing sitting politicians about the needs of veterans, service members and their families. Democrats will work with Congress on legislation that will strengthen the public funding system by equalizing small dollar donations for all federal candidates, cracking down on foreign citizens who try to influence elections, and ensuring that SuperPACs are fully independent of campaigns and political parties. The six incumbent Democratic members of the Board of Supervisors and three Democratic contenders pledged to carry out a unity campaign.
